Islamabad Capital Territory Police has announced new vacancies under its Law & Order section for Pakistani nationals. Both male and female candidates are eligible to apply for the advertised posts according to the regional and provincial quota system set by the Federal Government for Islamabad Police Law & Order Jobs 2026.

The recruitment includes Sub-Inspector, Assistant Sub-Inspector, and Constable positions. Candidates need to meet the required education, age, physical standards, and testing conditions before moving forward in the recruitment process.
The first position is Sub-Inspector, or SI, in BS-14. A total of 60 posts are available, with vacancies distributed among Open Merit, ICT, Punjab, Sindh Rural, Sindh Urban, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa, Balochistan, NA/FATA, and AJK quotas.
The second position is Assistant Sub-Inspector, or ASI, in BS-11. There are 24 vacancies for this post. The quota includes General, Women, and Minorities seats across the regions listed in the advertisement.
The largest number of vacancies is for Constable in BS-07. A total of 1,540 posts are available. These seats are also divided among Open Merit, ICT, Punjab, Sindh Rural, Sindh Urban, KPK, Balochistan, NA/FATA, AJK, and GB quotas.
For SI and ASI posts, candidates must have a BA, B.Sc., or equivalent qualification from a recognized university. Candidates applying for the Constable position must have Matric or an equivalent qualification from a recognized board.
The age requirement for all three posts is 18 to 25 years. For age calculation, the updated date is now 14 September 2026 and the closing date of the recruitment process, 02 September 2026, will be used as the cut-off date. The advertisement states that no relaxation in age will be granted.

For Islamabad Police Law & Order Jobs 2026. Physical fitness is an important part of these vacancies. Male applicants for SI, ASI, and Constable positions need a minimum height of 5 feet 7 inches, while female applicants need a minimum height of 5 feet 2 inches.
For male applicants, the required chest measurement is 33 by 34½ inches. Female applicants do not have a chest measurement requirement in the advertisement.
Applicants also need to pass an endurance test. Male candidates have to complete a one-mile run within 7 minutes. Female candidates have to complete the same distance within 10 minutes.
No relaxation in height or chest measurement is allowed. Candidates are advised to wear joggers or suitable shoes during the endurance test and bring their own drinking water.
Before appearing for the endurance test, applicants are personally responsible for getting medically checked. The advertisement asks candidates to obtain a medical test or examination report from a Government or District Hospital and bring the report when appearing for the endurance test.
A separate complete medical examination will take place at the final selection stage through the medical board or Civil Surgeon of the Federal Government. Candidates found with Hepatitis B, Hepatitis C, or any other perpetual ailments will be disqualified according to the advertisement. Medical examination is compulsory for Islamabad Police Law & Order Jobs 2026.
Candidates applying for Islamabad Police Law & Order Jobs 2026 must produce original documents at the interview stage. The required documents include a CNIC issued by NADRA.

Candidates applying under a family claim as the real son, grandson, daughter, or granddaughter of a serving, retired, or deceased police employee need complete supporting documents. Examples listed in the advertisement include FRC, pension book, and retirement order.
Applications are accepted only through the online application system. Candidates must apply online through www.npftas.pk or www.islamabadpolice.gov.pk within 15 days of the advertisement’s publication. The application fee is Rs. 2,000 for each post. The fee is non-refundable and is required for application processing and the required recruitment tests of Islamabad Police Law & Order Jobs 2026.
Payment is available through the 1Link-1Bill service using any bank, ATM, internet banking, Easypaisa, JazzCash, U Paisa, or TimePay. Applicants need to use the 24-digit PSID generated through the fee challan from the online application portal.
A person applying for more than one post needs to pay the fee separately for each post. Candidates applying for multiple posts will only need to pass the physical test once.
Hand-delivered applications, courier applications, or applications submitted through any other channel will not be accepted. No documents, photographs, or forms need to be submitted in hard copy before the interview stage.
Applicants need to provide correct information during the application process. False information is subject to legal action under Sections 420, 468, and 471 of the Pakistan Penal Code, with imprisonment of up to seven years stated in the advertisement.
Applicants must disclose any involvement in criminal cases while submitting the online application. The declaration covers cases where a candidate was discharged, challaned, acquitted, convicted, or had an FIR cancelled.
Candidates also need to submit an affidavit about criminal case involvement at the interview. If the information provided in the undertaking or affidavit is found to be false, the application will be cancelled. The candidate will also be debarred from applying for police posts in the future, and legal action will be taken according to the advertisement.
The selection procedure for Islamabad Police Law & Order Jobs 2026 involves physical, written, and interview stages.
Recruitment involves physical or endurance testing followed by a computer-based or written test, with successful candidates moving to the interview stage. A candidate who fails any stage will be disqualified from moving to the next stage.
The Departmental Recruitment Board and its staff will also verify physical standards during the interview when required. Any deficiency found at this stage will result in disqualification, and the decision of the recruitment board will be final.
Candidates with higher qualifications receive preference at the interview stage only. Selected candidates also need to accept the Government rules and regulations covering conduct, discipline, promotion, retirement, and related matters.
Test-center details are available through the application portal. Applicants are allowed to select two test centers in priority order, while final designation of the test center rests with ICT Police.
Candidates will receive recruitment updates through the application portal, SMS, or email. Regular checking of the portal is advised. The mobile number provided in the application needs to stay active and must not be converted to another network.
Government employees who meet the eligibility requirements need to apply through proper channel.
Transgender applicants are eligible to apply according to their self-perceived gender identity under the Transgender Persons (Protection of Rights) Act, 2018 and according to the gender mentioned on their CNIC.
Selected candidates will undergo character and academic antecedent verification. Bogus information, false documents, false affidavits, false undertakings, or criminal records will lead to cancellation of selection. If such issues are found after employment, the employee will be discharged from service and legal proceedings will follow.
No TA or DA will be provided for written tests, computer-based tests, physical or endurance tests, skill tests, or interviews.
ICT Police also reserves the right to modify or cancel the number of posts, recruitment, advertisement, or instructions at any stage.
